About Us
We are a Ready-mix concrete producer and supplier operating under the name of American Concrete Products, Inc. As American Concrete, we own and operate 43 Ready-mix plants in 24 counties throughout northern, southern, central and west central Iowa. Since our inception in 1980 we have grown from a small Ready-mix supplier to being one of the largest in the area. We currently are running approximately 250 ready mix trucks on a daily basis and are well equipped to handle any of your ready mix concrete needs.
American Concrete Products, Inc. began operations in 1980, starting with three trucks and one small manually operated plant in Johnston. In 1992 we built our second plant in West Des Moines, which is still our largest producing Ready Mix plant. In 1994 we added eight plants through acquisitions, and several more through the years.
The type of work we do ranges from small parking lots for various general contractors and private owners to major paving projects for state, municipal and county agencies. We supply quality concrete for a wide variety of projects, from sidewalks to Interstate highways. We are proud of our reputation for providing quality services and products. We have worked very hard to build that reputation and we have every intention of maintaining that reputation in the future.
